Richard Krajčo was born on 1 June 1977 in Ostrava, Czech Republic. He studied acting at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava after briefly studying technical subjects at university. While still young, he founded the band Kryštof, which later became one of the most popular Czech pop-rock bands. He began his acting career in theatre, gaining major attention for playing Hamlet, which earned him the Alfréd Radok Award for Talent of the Year in 2000. Since 2003, he has been a member of the National Theatre in Prague, where he has performed in many major stage roles. Alongside theatre, he has appeared in Czech films and TV series, and continues to work as both an actor and musician. He is best known today as the lead singer and songwriter of Kryštof.
